At Midwest Hand Therapy, we are educated on the latest exercise techniques and methods of hand, wrist, finger and elbow therapy. Our therapists provide individual guidance and planning for each patient’s road to recovery.
Through a variety of occupational therapy hand exercises, we work to relieve pain and restore the patient’s hand functionality and mobility. Depending on the particular client’s injury or condition, exercises may include some or all of the following: finger stretches, wrist stretches, open hand stretches, and fingertip touches. Hand strength training exercises are also common and utilize multiple props including grips, foam blocks, and balls.
Simple hand therapy exercises to practice at home will keep the hand or wrist working towards improvement between therapy visits, and will also help speed up the healing process.
